Sporty Ninja

This is a design I made for a sporty ninja for a friend. A combination of classical ninja garb in a more modern sporty fashion. I think his leg looks a bit off because of the angle, but overall I liked the outcome.  Pen & Ink on Card-stock.

The Batman vs Ninjas

This is a picture of batman fighting a clan of ninjas... I got the idea from an old Frank Miller Wolverine book from the 80's. I didn't get the proportions right on batman, but I did like how the overall image came out. I'll have to try again I guess.  Pen & Ink on Card-stock.

Bad Cop

This is a Bad-Cop character I came up with for no real purpose other than to draw. A friend named him Tiberius Jenkins and it just stuck. I got the inspiration from Ice-T's character on Law & Order. In retrospect I wish I had made him look dirtier and more war-torn, but these were drawn a while ago and I hate to alter my past work. This was done with Pen & Ink on card-stock.

Medieval Captain America vs Iron Man

This is a picture I did of what I thought Captain America and Iron Man would look like if they took place in Medieval times instead of modern times. It just seemed fitting considering the Armor and Shield.

Woman vs Man-Eating Shark

This is a fun one I drew of a woman fighting a Great White Shark. I like a more curvier woman's shape as apposed to most overly fit Supermodel types drawn in most comic books. Just seems more real and pleasing. This was another I drew completely from memory. Pen & Ink on Card-stock.

The OctoChicken

This is a picture i drew of an adventurer of some type fighting what I believe is an OctoChicken created from my imagination... Very deadly. The OctoChicken that is... not my imagination... well. Pen & Ink on Card-stock.

The Hulk

This is a picture I drew of a character I draw sometimes fighting the Incredible Hulk with a magical battle-mace. I don't know why, just thought it would be cool. It was. Pen & Ink on card-stock.

Headless Horseman

This is a picture I did of the Headless Horseman, a character I have always been intrigued by. I did this with Pen & Ink on card-stock.

Crow

This is a pen & ink Crow I drew from memory.

Chinese Dragon

This is a Chinese Dragon I drew from memory one day while I was bored. Pen and ink on White card-stock.

Bloody Wrench Part 2

This is a final variation of the Bloody Wrench Triptych that I did for my Design class in college. Each piece is about a foot square and is done completely with colored Sharpie markers. Below is a variation of the Triptych I made before deciding on the finale above.

Surviving Death: A Post Apocalyptic Children's Book

This is a book I made for my design class in college. I used my tried and true theme of the Apocalypse to create my vision of what a children's book would look like if you found one in the rubble of the Apocalypse. It is all done on pieces of poster board that have had the edges burned away for that that extra bit of realism. The binding is made of bits and pieces of discarded trash. I know there are a few typos here and there, but hey, it's the Apocalypse!

Out of the Darkness

This is a piece I did for my Drawing class in college. I used India Ink and water to paint the image on a piece of thick poster-board.

Charcoal relief Converse

This is a Charcoal relief piece I did for my Drawing 2 class in college. With a charcoal relief, you coat the entire page with a graphite powder until the page is black, then you use an eraser to draw your image. Once again I chose the ever stylish Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars as my subject matter. This piece was about 24X36. It is now hanging in the Math department in the Hillsborough Community College, Ybor campus.

Tessellations

These are called Tessellations. It's a process of creating a two-dimensional plane using repetition of geometrical shapes that enter and exit all four sides of a square at the same juncture, leaving no gaps or overlapping spots. The above square is one I created for my design class in college. The below pieces are combinations of that square that make up various patterns. This below pattern is made up of four different Tessellation squares to make up one unified pattern. These are some of the larger patterns created by the first square. And this is one of the patterns created by the later design.

Design triptych

This is a triptych I did for my design class in college. We were supposed to do one of each of three design subjects. Fantasy, Mechanical and Organic. Each piece is done with Sharpie markers and is about a foot squared. If you notice, the design lines flow from the curve in Vader's helmet to the curves of the wrench and then on into the center line of the fern.  Below are each of the pieces individually. We had to pick two to work on as separate triptychs... I chose the Fern and the wrench. The wrench went on to be my subject fo my final project in this series.
